Key Dates
Description
The City of Keene is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Airport Wildlife Perimeter Fence Project. The project consists of installing a wildlife perimeter fence to fully enclose the Air Operations Area (AOA) of Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN). New western and eastern fence alignments are proposed that each tie into existing airfield security fence. This project also includes the installation of barbed wire along a segment of the existing fence that runs parallel to Old Homestead Highway where no barbed wire is currently present. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: The installation and maintenance of construction erosion and sedimentary control best management practices (BMPs), tree removal, clearing, clearing and grubbing, minor unclassified excavation and embankment work, wetland matting, installation of loam seed and mulch, and all other incidental items for a complete project. The construction of the proposed fence alignment requires the closure of Runway 14-32 and the partial closures of Taxiway A as described in Section 4 Airfield Impacts.
